In the Spirit
In the Spirit
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day. Revelation 1:10
The Holy Spirit loves to draw attention to Jesus.
The Apostle John was a political prisoner of Rome on the island of Patmos when he was conspicuously re-filled with the Holy Spirit. Within moments he encountered the manifest presence of Christ in a way he had never encountered Him before.
Respected Bible teacher F.B. Myer affirmed that the primary role of the Holy Spirit is to make Christ known. “He is like a shaft of light that falls on the Beloved Face, so that as in the photograph we do not think about the light, nor the origin of the light, but you think about the face that it reveals.” The Beloved Face that he refers to is, of course, the face of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit revealed the face of Jesus to John, and He will reveal the face of Jesus to you.
Father, fill me now with the Holy Spirit and today reveal to me the Beloved Face of Jesus.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and Oklahoma.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
