It Will Still Burn

 It Will Still Burn

“Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.” 1 Kings 18:33

Normally when you want to start a fire, you do not pour water on the wood. When Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, however, he was so confident that God was going to supernaturally send fire that against all odds he instructed the people to fill four jugs with water and pour it on the offering. He not only did it once, he had them do it three times to form a large puddle that surrounded the sacrifice.

The lesson is this—when God is in it, you can pour water on it, and it will still burn!

We live in a day of false fire, backfire, misfire, and trickery. Too many Christian leaders are trying to fabricate their own revival. God help us! Many Christian leaders pull out their own little can of kerosene, as it were, and squirt the wood when the people are not looking to create their own little miracle. Tragic.

We don’t need trickery, we need the manifest presence of Christ. Simple prayer welcomes fire. And when we pray properly, we can even throw water on the wood and it will still burn.

Lord Jesus, take my kerosene bottles, my evil self will that wants to help You answer my prayers. I repent. I don’t want false fire; I only want Holy Spirit fire.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Monaco and Oklahoma.

This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
