Progressive Revelation

Progressive Revelation

To the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1

God’s revelation is always progressive. It is all too easy to resent the fact that God never shows us everything right away. Rather than resenting the kingdom principle of progressive revelation, God calls us to embrace it.

When Abraham was told to uproot his family from their hometown, pack their belongings and move to a new land, He gave him strikingly skimpy information. When He called Abraham, however, He immediately began teaching him this life-giving principle of progressive revelation.

Progressive revelation is an irrefutable kingdom principle. God never violates this principle. Never.

You can gauge your spiritual maturity according to how well you handle progressive revelation. If you are a baby, you will whine and complain and throw a tantrum. As you mature in Christ, you learn to live with the ambiguity.

Mature followers of Christ rejoice in the revelation God has given. And they rejoice in what God yet withholds.

Loving Father, today I rejoice in what You reveal and what You choose to not reveal, in Jesus’ Name.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Tonga and Oklahoma.

This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
