More of Christ
How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask? Luke 11:13
Healthy Christians want more of God’s manifest presence in Christ.
When God does put inside you a hunger for more of His presence, it is not that you are ungrateful for what you have. Hunger for more of God’s presence comes to those who are most grateful.
One of the highest compliments you can give a chef who cooks dinner is to ask for more. One of the highest compliments you can pay God is to ask Him for more.
Jesus gave all of us permission to ask for more of the Holy Spirit. If you appreciate the activity of the Holy Spirit in your life today, you are invited to ask for more.
Father God, I come with a hungry heart to ask You to send me more of the Holy Spirit today, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.
