Honoring the Persecuted Church

Honoring the Persecuted Church

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Revelation 14:13

On this day, July 6, in the Year of our Lord 1415, John Huss was burned at the stake. We honor this day on behalf of the persecuted church worldwide. The lives of many of our brothers and sisters are on the line today and everyday because of their faith in the Lord Jesus.

More than 300 Christians will die today because of their faith in Christ. The same will happen tomorrow, and the next day, all year long.

Pause today and pray for your brothers and sisters who will pay the ultimate price to follow Christ.

When Huss died, they say he lifted his head toward Heaven and said with confidence, “I commit myself to the most gracious Lord Jesus.” One thousand armed men escorted him at midday to the place of execution. When offered to him the opportunity to renounce his faith and live, he simply replied, “I shall die with joy today in the faith of the gospel that I have preached.” As the flames rose around his legs and consumed his body, he was singing of his faith and praying to Christ.

Father God, bless Your children today who live in persecuted church nations. Manifest Your presence to those who will be martyred today in Your Name.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Kiribati and South Dakota.

This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
