Deep Repentance
Deep Repentance
Woe is me! I am lost. I am a man of unclean lips. Isaiah 6:5
There are normally five elements to an encounter with Christ. The first is high worship. The second is deep repentance.
When Isaiah saw the Lord in all His holiness, no one had to tell him to repent. His sin was exposed. His heart was laid bare. There was nowhere to hide. It was a moment of ultimate vulnerability.
Isaiah cried, “Woe is me! I am lost. For I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips.”
One of the greatest needs in the church today is deep repentance. This level of bone-crushing, sin-exposing, pride-breaking, transparency, vulnerability and repentance only comes from an encounter with the manifest presence of Christ.
Father God, I welcome Your manifest presence today. In Your presence expose my sin and the sin of my people. We don’t want to hide; I come in humility, vulnerability, transparency and repentance, in Jesus’ Name.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Nauru and Idaho.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
