Paul’s Promise Habit
Paul’s Promise Habit
My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Praying the promises of God is a healthy habit.
The Apostle Paul learned to pray the promises of God. Three times Paul pleaded in prayer for his thorn in the flesh to be removed. Instead of removing his problem, God gave Paul a promise—My grace is sufficient. That promise changed everything.
The promises of God do change everything. As He did with Paul, God often speaks to us in promises while we’re praying. Often when we face weaknesses, problems, and various thorns in our flesh, God is prepared to give us a promise of His grace, His power, and His presence.
Get in the promise habit. As you read the Bible, mark the promises of God. Then take those promises of God and turn them into prayers.
Father God, forgive me for thinking more about my problems and less about Your promises. I repent. You know my needs and my heartaches. Give me a promise today to meet my needs.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for San Marino and Illinois.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
