Overcoming Blood
“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11
God calls you to be a champion, a winner, a conqueror, an overcomer.
You and I have failed enough times to perhaps make it hard to believe that God calls us to be overcomers, but here is the deal— you becoming a champion is not because of who you are alone, but because of who you are in Christ, and more specifically, who you are because of the blood of Christ.
We know Christ will defeat the devil and the antichrist, but here in Revelation 12:11 it is not talking about Christ defeating the antichrist; it’s talking about you and me conquering or overcoming the devil. And it tells us explicitly how to overcome.
We win over the devil and the antichrist by the blood of Jesus and by the word of our testimony, expressing our faith and dependence on the blood of Jesus.
This blood promise is one you want to grab firm hold of today.
Father God, I declare— I am a conqueror, a winner, a champion, an overcomer because of the blood of Christ and my faith in the prevailing power of the blood of Christ.
