Power In The Blood
“How much more will the blood of Christ…purify.” Hebrews 9:14
Don’t ever underestimate the power of the blood of Jesus.
Your sin may be powerful. Your condemning conscience may be powerful. Your addictions may be powerful. But they are mere flea bites compared to the power of the blood of Jesus.
When the Bible says, how much more will the blood of Christ, it wants you to know that the blood is more powerful than your rebellious nature, your propensity to moral failure, your past addictions, and even more powerful than your family bloodline. The blood of Jesus is greater than anything.
Today it is time to take firm hold of the promise of God— the promise that there is power in the blood.
Loving Father, I take firm hold of the blood of Jesus today. I smear it like war paint over my soul and my body. I declare your forgiveness. I declare the power of your forgiveness over my conscience. The power of your new nature over my bad habits, and the power of your cleansing over my filthy soul in Jesus’ name.
